It Isn’t Finished Yet (My response to the debacle that SCOTUS just perpetrated upon the American people)

I don’t think that many people realize what just happened with the passing of the health care law.

Picture what is happening in New York under Mayor Bloomberg where they are now banning foods that THEY deem are unhealthy or taxing them to the point that they are unaffordable.  The federal government now can do this to just about everything to every American if they desire through this monstrosity though they say they will not.

They will be able to tell you if you can have an MRI or not, get a particular test or not, what service you can have or not, and the list goes on and on.

I continue to tell everyone that believes in government-funded services to just look at the Veteran’s administration and how efficiently (LOL!) it is ran for a model of what to expect.

We veterans wait sometimes days or weeks for routine visits, weeks or months for more urgent care, and often years just for them to review a claim for compsensable and service-connected disabilities.

Talk to a veteran that uses the VA system about how long and frustrating it is to do business with the VA (the government) and what’s worse we have very few if any avenues to redress grievances and are stonewalled for some of the basic care that we have rightly earned.

Ask the person that is on medicare or Medicaid how difficult it is to get care and how they are often ran around to govt office after office before they can finally, if ever, get the right information or answers to their healthcare questions/problems.

For those that support the dishonest way that this law was passed you are basically saying that you approve of someone lying to you an offense that most parents (even the liberal ones don’t like lying) would discipline their children for by at first indicating that it would not be a tax by changing the word to a “penalty” which confuses people (they are artful at this) along with a whole other host of differences from what they presented the law when it was trotted out before the American people.

Now the federal government can basically tell a free citizen what to do and it will extend beyond healthcare because government is never satisfied with the power that they have, they always want more and more.

Sad day for this country but it is what it is and just as I have been proven in the past to be right (I was right about social security, welfare, Medicare/Medicaid and just about every other govt program being unsustainable) about these programs being unsustainable we now have a new tax that could be in effect when millions of former taxpayers that used to pay taxes are not paying them because they cannot find work which puts a bigger burden on the ones that are paying them.

Once this comes to fruition more “fees” taxes for other services will have to be raised which will result in more layoffs as employers will not be able to keep some of the employee’s that they have and cannot afford to hire new ones because of the new tax burden or penalty that will have to pay if they choose to opt out (and many will to save their companies which is what was intended all along) and the administration and the purveyors of the law will of course blame any and everybody except the failed and still IMHO un-Constitutional law that they passed (I say this because many of the dem and repub congressmen that voted for the law indicated that they wouldn’t have if they had actually read it and knew what was in it before they voted for it).

The best example of how government can change a program that was presented one way but is implemented differently as it was touted to be more tasteful to the American citizen is social security.

As it was presented to the American public it was supposed be something that you paid into and would be there available for you when you reached the age to draw upon it but once implemented and over time the government slowly, surely, and predictably started dipping into it to pay for other projects/programs though when the law was passed it was touted to be ONLY for the stated purpose that it was voted on.

Lastly, let’s continue to pray for this nation and pray for our leader’s as no matter what our differences we are still Americans and though we will still work to fight against this “soft tyranny” we still have the opportunity to affect change at the ballot box!
