Why Not Change “Halloween” Or Other Religious Celebrations to “Holiday” Season Just As They Attempt to Do With Christmas?

As a Christian I’ve witnessed the all out war that is proliferated upon the celebrations that I cherish that have been passed down from generation to generation especially when this time of the year “Christmas” comes around.

I have no problem acknowledging the entire period from Thanksgiving through New Year as a “Holiday” period but within this “Holiday” period we separately celebrate each event individually yet we are constantly being told or even forced to say “Holiday” instead of Christmas which is pretty funny to me because apparently a lot of people have no clue that the word “Holiday” is actually a “rub-off” of “Holy-day” which is what Christians and those in the Jewish faith from whom we claim a common lineage used to refer to our religious celebrations.

I’ve often wondered why there is always an attempt to change anything associated with Christmas to “Holiday” yet there is never an attempt to do the same when Halloween comes around.

You don’t hear politicians, cities, municipalities, atheists, the ACLU or anyone that vehemently oppose anthing “Christmas” or “Christ” related for that matter attempting to change the things associated with Halloween (or insert any other pagan holiday for that matter) to, for example; “Holiday” costumes instead of Halloween costumes, “Holiday” candy instead of Halloween candy, trick or treat to “Holiday” or treat.

The simple reason for this is that the enemy hates any attempt to glorify our Savior’s name and Christians often capitulate in the vein of compromise or “fairness” to morally corrupt men (women) who are doing the work of their father Satan while others that celebrate other religions will fight to the death to declare their beliefs.

Could you imagine the outrage if any municipality dared to change anything associated with any of the sacred dates of Islam or any other religions to “Holiday”?

Would they dare tell any Muslim that they could only refer to the period of Ramadan to the “Holiday” period? Or the date that people of the Baha’i faith celebrate the Birth of the Bab the “Holiday of Bab or the Buddhist Nirvana Day or Theravada New Year celebrations as Holiday celebrations, or the Hindu celebrations of Shivratri, Holi, Ugadi  etc as “Holiday” periods?

What about the Pagan holidays of Imbolc, Beltane, and the Spring Equinox, Summer Solstice, Autumn Equinox, and Winter Solstice (Yule) as “Holiday” periods instead of their stated names?

No one dares to tell the people who celebrate the Shinto Holidays of Gantan-Sai or Setsubun or the Sikh Holidays of Guru Gobind Singh Jayanti, Lohri, Vaisakhi that they must call them and anything associated with them as “Holiday” periods or the items used to celebrate them as “Holiday” items instead of their usual names so why not the same with anything associated with Christmas.

The enemy and his minions never go after these religions because he is not threatened by them yet if the name of Christ Jesus is barely mentioned under one’s breath there is always an attempt to “snuff” it out from its inception and even though the “Founders” of our great country openly practiced their faith and openly prayed and dare I say called upon God for guidance, protection, and wisdom as they sought direction for our new nation.

Further, it was many of these same founders who believed in the deity of Christ who also used those beliefs for many of the guiding principles of our government to include our the Constitution itself yet this fact is always under assault to be revised from our written history and every attempt has been made (and much has succeeded due to the many Christians who remain asleep) to wipe away any reference to God and His Son Jesus from our society which has been skillfully done but with dire results in the many God-less countries of Europe.

We as believers in Christ must always be on alert and be willing to defend our customs, traditions, and beliefs for they are the core of why we celebrate our Holidays and much like the Israelites did in Biblical times when they would build an altar or monument to remember certain events so do we as believers in Christ need to practice things that help us to remember what God did for us when He provided Jesus Christ to us as a sacrifice without spot (or blemish) to atone for our sins and provide a way for us to be reunited with a Holy God that loves us without measure.

Christians have had much to do with the assault that has taken place on our celebrations through not only their non-defense of our traditions and customs but also due to the watering down of them by allowing “paganistic” customs/ideals/rituals to intermingle with our “Holy-days” for commercial purposes which is also a trick of the enemy to further erode the true meaning of what God has done for us through Jesus.

Let us no longer allow people who only pretend to be “pro-choice” (unless anyone’s choice is for “Christ” or the things that His word teaches us) dictate to us in OUR faith how we should celebrate OUR God for despite how they have perverted the Constitution the Founders of this country never intended for us to be separated from the God that they braved tumultuous travel and sometimes certain death from Europe for so that they could freely worship and serve Him.

History has proved that when any nation founded upon the principles of God begin to deny Him that said nation soon starts to decay in the near term and is utterly destroyed as it collapses from the weight of its sin as it further devolves into un-Godliness and this is the vision in the mirror that America is faced with at this point yet God still hears our prayers, He still answers our petitions, He still is in the business of hearing the cries of His sheep and He still heals lands when asked so we must never give up nor give into despair.

So I bid you Merry Christmas for those of you who are in the faith that are not ashamed to say or receive the phrase or are not too intimidated by those that would have you deny Christ before men for Christ is our inheritance and this is the season that we celebrate His birth and all that its meaning to those of us that value it has to us and no one, I mean no one can ever make me feel that it is okay for me to substitute “Holiday” for the “Christ” that is in “Christmas” without denying the very reason that I celebrate the season.
