Let’s Get The “Log” Out Of Our Own Eye Before Worrying About The “Speck” In Other’s Eye (Today’s “semi-rant”)

Matthew 7:1-5(ESV) 7 “Judge not, that you be not judged. 2 For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. 3 Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? 4 Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.

It’s amazing how so many black people judge “whole” races of people when another race commits a crime against a black person.

How do we (the black community) continue to look the other way when young, black men do evil deeds (the same point exists for ALL people).

If we want young black men to stop being suspects for being young, black men then we (the black community) need to deal with the young, black men who disproportionately commit a majority of major crimes in this country. Now I’m sure that I’ll get a number of people who will make excuses from anything from racism to broken homes, etc., but that does nothing to solve the problem. If the black community would “march”, if the despicable Rev Al/Rev Jesse’s of the world would march or stand in front of the media camera’s, if parents would just do their darn jobs as God designed them to do, and if black folk would stop making excuses for why too many of our kids act like thugs then maybe incidences of Trayvonn’s (Rest In Peace young brother) killing would not happen…but the lack of outrage when ANYONE is killed by a black person from the black community as a whole is incredulous to me ESPECIALLY the lack of outrage from those “Christians” that seem to be so outraged about everything else except black on black or black on whomever else crime.

The problem is that Jesus though spoken of in our communities (black, white, or other) has been removed from the center of it all and thus no matter black, white, or “other” people without the leash that only a Holy God can reign us in with will commit crimes like this and Christians should abhor ALL (not just what is deemed racial) crimes.

Even thugs holla out “Jesus” when it is convenient and many of them have just as much a relationship with Him as do many that sit in pews and call themselves “followers”.

They must not be serving the same God that I serve…you know the one that is in the Holy Bible, the God of Moses, Isaac, and Jacob, you know the God that came down, humbled Himself and died a horrible, gruesome death on a “tree” for ALL of those that would call on His name and doesn’t differentiate between the beautiful shades of colors that He created us with.

That God is a God that doesn’t tolerate racist behavior of ANY kind no matter the color and I know this because in my quiet time of reflection and study with Him He has told me so and has made it a mission for me to speak out no matter the cost because too many of His people have been fooled into believing that they have an allegiance to their skin color and those that look like, grew up like, or identify with….this behavior my brothers and sisters constitutes to idol status which is why I don’t subscribe to it because it can remove me from His presence which is the most valuable thing in my life.

It’s more important than my family or anything that I do or have because without it I could never be the father, husband, son, brother, friend, etc., that He destined me to be which is why I’m not and never will be “ashamed” to speak the truth no matter if “Christians” decide not to listen. Not my truth but His truth for everything that I say can be verified within the Holy texts and can be experienced through prayer, meditation, and constant relationship with His Holy Spirit who teaches me daily because the intellect of man will always deceive while the wisdom of God only makes me increase (in Him)!
