Our Rights As “Christian” Citizens Are Granted To Us By God

I think that too many people have made this whole Phil Robertson flap about gay vs Christian when to me it was clearly more about our religious freedoms being taken away more and more than about anything to do with the whole “gay or not issue”.
Christians are routinely and more and more being told to “go in a corner and are told to “shut up” and stay silent while everyone else is told that they have the right to say what they want when this country’s Constitution gives us the same rights as they.
For the “Christian” who thinks that we should not voice our opinion…who do you think gave the Founders of this country the framework of the Constitution or this great document that when applied right guarantees our freedoms?  Jesus told us to “give Caesar what is Caesar’s” and “give God what is God’s”.
We in this country ARE (or were) Caesar because it via the Constitution was always supposed to be US in charge and not the government and even though this is not the case more and more these days we still have some right to utilize the Constitution and the rights therein to redress our government or others when we feel wronged and as a citizen one of those rights is the right to FREELY express our religious beliefs as long as we don’t put a gun to someone else’s head and force them to be one of us.
Did not our brother Paul utilize his benefits as a Roman citizen when he was imprisoned and his life was in jeopardy?
If this brother who wrote a great portion of the Bible could utilize his rights as a Roman citizen and still be in good concert with the teachings of Christ then why not us as American citizens?
So…slow your roll and realize that in this debate that we as Christians and free citizens of these United States of America are utilizing the GOD-given rights granted to us within our own laws to fight back against tyranny be it governmental or from others within the citizenry.
