The Early Crawley Story (Accumulated over $500,000 On A Parking Lot Attendant’s Wages)

Stories like this one that I’m sharing about Mr. Earl Crawley) is why I get so upset when people think that they all they need is more money in a paycheck to be “successful”.
I spent the early part of my life doing what Mr. Earl was doing but then I got off track spending recklessly, spending on partying, not keeping track of every “nickel and dime”, and buying clothes etc, just to be “seen”.
I talk to kids (and adults) who work at McDonald’s and other minimum wage jobs who don’t want to work, show up late or not at all, and then spend every dime that they earn well above their means instead of investing some back into themselves YET they complain about how broke they are.
We even see it when people are on public assistance because many times when I go calling on some of my kids in public housing or “the hood” the people living there are driving better cars, have nicer computers, nicer phones, designer purses, etc., at a much better clip than I have YET they complain about how broke they are.
I watch people who get themselves fired from a job from having a bad attitude, stealing from the company, being late or not showing up at all, doing drugs or coming to work drunk or tipsy, or doing something that the company has TOLD them could lead to them losing their job YET they complain about how broke they are.
THEN, in the principle of reaping and sowing, as they try to get another job they have to list “prior employment” which is never going to recommend them to a new employer because they were a horrible employee and/or they cannot get a good reference because people do not want to attach their good name to someone who will damage it because they don’t really want to work YET they complain about how broke they are AND blame all of this on everyone else but themselves.
SO, this is why I love people like Mr. Earl and this is why I get tired of the excuses for people who act like that one cannot build wealth over a period of time utilizing whatever means God has blessed them with…even if it is “minimum wage” means.
The reaping and sowing principle found in the Bible teaches us that what we put into any given situation is what we will get out of it and that God is not going to bless stupidity but He will give more to those that He can trust when they have shown that they will properly utilize what He ALREADY has blessed them with.
The problem is that people, when they think that they have “little”, don’t see the “little” that they already have as a blessing when there is ALWAYS someone who has less than they have or instead of looking upon what they already have as a blessing they constantly have their eyes “lustingly” looking at someone else’s “stuff” which is a sin and will NEVER be rewarded by God no matter how much the government tells you it will, or how much you attend church, or how much you pray that it will because God is not “mocked” and cannot/will not bless “sin” but He did provide through Jesus Christ a way for us to overcome it and prosper through it.
God bless you Mr. Earl and thank you for this timely lesson in appreciating what God has blessed you with, utilizing it to your utmost ability, and inspiring others to do the same.
I wish that there were more men/women around like you…if there are they sure are silent sir which is what prompted me to share your story!
Be blessed sir and may the Lord our God continue to bless you in all of His richness and glory!
I honor you sir and thank you for not making room for excuses in your life.
