Thank God I’ve reduced my social media foot print as of late because of the damage it does to my Spirit when I see how “Christians” accuse other Christians along racial lines whenever something “race” related happens.

As I was reading up on this story in the link at the top of this piece this morning I ran across numerous FB postings by “Christians” whose first thoughts were automatically led to what they’ve been “taught” by THIS world and that is to “race”.

They get caught up in the “blame game” just as the enemy hopes they would so that he can keep us divided along racial lines….and we, even in the “church” often let him. THERE IS NOT BLACK CHURCH, THERE IS NO WHITE CHURCH, THERE IS NO HISPANIC OR “OTHER” CHURCH and there were lives lost NOT BLACK LIVES and the man who did this was EVIL NOT “WHITE EVIL”!!! This is what I wrote in response to a posting from a well-meaning brother this morning as God put it into my heart. “Christian’s” (notice I didn’t say “black or white” Christians) may not like it but it’s “truth” nonetheless and this issue of making everything about race will NEVER stop until we, the church, put an end to dividing ourselves by giving ourselves racial names and stop calling ourselves a black church, or white church, or Hispanic church, or “whatever church”. This is what I said:

“It is ridiculous that every time anything happens people’s first words are about race and as a man of God I’m sick of it. We do a disservice to the people and the family of the people who lost their lives by FIRST focusing on who killed them.

Does it make it any more palatable that this guy was white? Does it explain the evil of it more because it was a white guy? If he had been black would it matter less?

This is the trick of the enemy that continues to divide us. This man no matter black or white was purely evil and it doesn’t matter his race. How many black folk have killed black folk over the past 24 hours? Where is your outrage for their lives? Or…don’t they deserve the same outrage or not?

I don’t give a rip about the media and how they portray blacks worse than whites or whatever either…we know that this happens and the better way of dealing with it is to contact them and or campaign against them instead of inflaming and teaching our kids that “white folk” because when we speak the way so many are speaking they hear it and unlike us they don’t often separate the evil folk from the folk who are just trying to live their lives.

You don’t think that people who are white are not just as upset about this?

It’s sad that somewhere along the lines “Christians” seem to forget that in Christ there IS NO black or white…only Christ YET people of all color who purport a belief in Christ and call him their Savior continue to act and accuse their brethren in the same breath as they do when castigating a person who looks like them.

Yes, I know that “they” do it too and “they” are just as wrong as “Christians” too. The Bible teaches us in the following scriptures that EACH person (no matter what “rules” society has determined as “hate” or not) is responsible for their OWN sin and will be judge accordingly and for “us” as “Christians” to continually feed and spread anything else is in itself…sin:

Galatians 6:4-5 “But let each one test his own work, and then his reason to boast will be in himself alone and not in his neighbor. For each will have to bear his own load.”

Romans 14:10, 12 “For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God. So then each of us will give an account of himself to God.”

Ezekiel 18:20 (MSG) 19-20 “Do you need to ask, ‘So why does the child not share the guilt of the parent?’ “Isn’t it plain? It’s because the child did what is fair and right. Since the child was careful to do what is lawful and right, the child will live truly and well. The soul that sins is the soul that dies. The child does not share the guilt of the parent, nor the parent the guilt of the child. If you live upright and well, you get the credit; if you live a wicked life, you’re guilty as charged.

So, in all of these passages of scripture we as believer’s are admonished NOT to hold others accountable for the “sin’s” of others and if God expects us to NOT hold the parent’s accountable for the sins of their children or vice versa we can also surmise that He meant the same to be so among His children also and everytime “we” buy into and speak into this society’s narrative about “race” we are furthering the enemy’s agenda and destroying our own selves with a “lack of knowledge”.
