The attached meme says a lot about today’s society because I can assure you that many people feel like this.

Yet, this is why so many people struggle and continue the generational curse of being broke.

YOU SHOULD KNOW HOW MUCH MONEY IS IN YOUR BANK ACCOUNT AT ALL TIMES!!!!

YOU SHOULD BE BUDGETING SOUNDLY AND STICKING TO IT.

Many people who say that they are broke are not truly broke they are simply financially stupid and spend their money selfishly…then they look for other people who do the right thing to pay for their failure and wrong living.

I recall one time when I was speaking to a friend about finances and as they smoked a blunt they were relating the fact that they were soooo “pissed off” that the “white man” was “holding them down”.

I looked around, stood up and looked under the sofa cushions that I was sitting on, opened the front door of his apartment to ensure that no one there and then told him….”I don’t see no white man holding you down. You,that weed, and your selfishness to spend money that you already don’t have on things that you don’t need is what is holding you down.”

Of course he didn’t like that…few like the truth but I say down with him and showed him how much he was spending on weed, alcohol, partying, clothes, etc., and it ended up being enough to more than cover his exposes with enough to start building wealth for the future.

Of course he didn’t listen to me because it’s easier to blame someone for your bad choices I life rather than admit your folly I’m life, admit your mistakes, learn from them, make good choices for your life while eschewing the societal and learned norms of your past, and learn to live a Biblical-based financial plan that will ensure that you make every penny count towards making your financial situation better.

God blesses the good steward of the resources that He provides them but He won’t bless the lazy and He won’t walk in agreement with the apathetic mindset so ensure that this is not you today.

Pray that God lead you into being a good steward and then start making the steps to do so. Stop spending your money on foolish things that you cannot afford simply to be prideful of how you look before others. Scale down your lifestyle BELOW the level of your budget. Tithe and make God your financial planner. Budget and spend according to what you NEED instead of what you WANT (you need food, shelter, and water…everything else is a want…nothing wrong with filling a want but don’t fill it until the need is taken care of and the want is NOT spent out of your budget until it can be saved for…and even then only after you have accrued a savings double of what you make monthly…and only then occasionally WITH the future in mind)
