I shared the following with a friend today who is doing their best to live life on a healthier plane yet sometime the fear can be overwhelming. As I started talking about some strategies I felt God speak into my heart the following and wanted to share with everyone who may be going through something similar. THOUGH this is geared towards a person who shares my faith the tenant of it can be applied in most faiths or even in a person who considers themselves agnostic, stoic, or “other” so please don’t write it off just because it’s Christian in nature. My prayer is that it blesses or if you are not a believer helps.

Comment: “Don’t let the fear get to you. The enemy knows that you will be more effective for God’s Kingdom and your loved ones so he uses the fear of change, the fear that you can’t do it, the fear of missing out on your favorite sugary/carbohydrate foods (that are slowly killing you), the fear that you won’t be supported by your loved ones, and the fear that you will fail.

He uses them because he knows that we don’t equate taking the opportunity to heal our bodies with whole food that God provides us with strengthening our relationship with God but that is a lie since 1 Cor 6: 19-20 states:

“19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.”

This is not meant to condemn us but to let us know that along with strengthening our spiritual body with study, prayer, fasting, and spending time with God we also should do all that we can to strengthen/heal our mortal bodies as best as we can and the evidence is becoming more and more clear that food can do just that in the absence of sugar/carbohydrates.

I’m always amazed at people who say that they want to lose weight or achieve better health or improve some medical condition with keto since they have seen how it is worked for me and want the results that I have but are not willing to does what I did and even stick with it to see the desired result.

They want to do it “their way” and my word to you is “go ahead…it’s your life” and I move on getting healthier and healthier while they remain caught in their own trap.

I also love how people are not willing to give up things that are harming them and will even say “oh…I don’t know if I can live without that” or “I can’t give that up” not realizing that that is an addictive mindset that God never intends for us to have.

For example. When the body has to deal with alcohol the body recognizes it as a poison and to keep it from killing you it basically reroutes most of its functionality to the liver so that it can metabolize it into a less harmful state and thus be excreted out of the body.

This process takes time and the entire time that this is happening no healing occurs, there is no repairing of muscle tissues, and to the person who is trying to lose body fat you must be aware that while the body in this protective process EVERYTHING that you eat regardless of whether it’s healthy or not (even Keto food) is immediately stored as fat on the body.

Over time as this process is repeated time and again the body starts to adapt and give up fighting what you are doing to it and the result is a dangerous fatty liver that can shorten your life in the worst and in the least make it very difficult to lose body fat.

So when I explain this process to someone who seeks my advice on losing body fat or who is seeking to reverse or improve a metabolic medical condition that they need to give up drinking alcohol at least for the first month or two of keto and they tell me “I don’t know if I can give it up” (whether it’s alcohol or certain foods) I tell them “it appears that you have something much more serious and that is a burgeoning addiction that you need to deal with because what you are saying to me is that “it” is more important than your health, possibly having more time with your loved ones, or improving your condition.”

This behavior is also mirrored in our walk with God as we show our true colors when we are not willing to give up something that He is telling us to give up when we know that He knows what is best for our lives.

So I ask you today…what do you want? What goals do you want to achieve? Are you unknowingly bearing an addiction that may be killing you body and/or spirit?

If you “can’t” live without it for sometime (more than a couple of months) even when you know that it is harming you then you have your answer and this is the time for you to do something about it.

If you pray the pray!

If you do something else then do that (I prefer prayer myself).

BUT DO SOMETHING and stop being a slave to that thing that you know is slowly (or quickly) killing you.

Hey…I know from experience that getting on the road to healing from an addiction be it hidden or other is not easy but I can promise you that if you make those changes that you won’t regret it.

Take the time to be the best YOU that YOU can be and let nothing be it the enemy or more often your “flesh” if you are a “believer” or if not then whatever you believe don’t allow “it” to stop you!

I believe in you so start believing in yourself as you deserve to be healthy.

Said in love,

The truth is starting to come out more and more. It won’t be long before even the sugar, grain, and Pharma funded media will have to take notice because the evidence is all over social media and is being “shared” and people’s lives are being changed.

If you are having heart issues, suffering from T2 diabetes, clots, HBP, and diseases of brain tissues (to include brain injury and people whose family has a history of brain disease) you are the people who immediately need to cut sugar, grains, and all forms of carbohydrates (except for incidental ones in green leafy veggies and a moderate amount from nuts and seeds) out of your diet.

That poison is NOT worth your continued suffering and yes you will have withdrawals and/or cravings but “this too shall pass” and there are strategies to help you cope with these issues just as there are strategies that help people when they quit smoking and the reason that you think that you can’t do it or cannot see yourself never having “this or that” (bread for example) IS proof that the addiction exists.

What do we tell people that we suspect of alcoholism? “If it’s not a problem then you should be able to give it up?”…right?

Yet daily people who want to get off medicines, lose weight, relieve the symptoms of depression, reverse their diabetes, help prevent cancer or if they have it help their bodies fight it, help get rid of “brain fog”, help mitigate heart disease…all which can be helped by ditching the carbs, sugar, and grains tell me much like the addict that they CANNOT or HAVE TO or CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT their favorite food (I definitely said that about Popeyes and donuts 😂) which if we were again talking about alcohol or drugs would be the very picture of what we describe as an addicted person.

Lastly, you don’t have to continue to live this way. Yes it will take some adjustment and work but in the end aren’t you worth it? Isn’t it worth taking the chance to try so that you could have a better chance at living longer to be there for more things with you family and friends?

No carb, sugar, or grain that is killing you should EVER come before you beige there for your loved ones OR for yourself for that matter.

You are more than worth it!!!

So make good food decisions starting right now and watch your life change!

Your “body is the temple of the living God”.

Start treating it as such!!

President Trump is not keeping you from walking out your front door and helping your neighbor.

He’s not keeping you from feeding he homeless.

As far as I know he is not keeping you from visiting hospitals to encourage the sick, or help the widow, or be a mentor to the fatherless child.

You can still get out and help someone today and if you are a Christian you are blessed to be in a country that you have the ability to do your “real” job and that is to spread the message of the salvation and love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

My message today is that though we have the right to discourse on politics whether the president is Trump, Bush, Obama, or whomever let’s not get so blinded by politics that we lose our spiritual eyes that open our hearts that moves our feet in God’s direction to help others and more importantly save souls for the Kingdom of God.

If you are a Christian who is vocal about anything “racial” that is directed towards your race but seem to lose your voice when your race is racial towards other races know that you are a hypocrite and are more aligned with THIS world than you are with Jesus Christ.

This doesn’t mean that we ignore any injustice directed at a particular race. What it does mean is that we don’t ignore the wrongs that the race that we have been categorized to be a part of by this world’s system commit either and we should be just a vociferous in calling said wrongs out within our own racial construct as we do others.

Having said that my prayer is THEN that the “Christian” after accomplishing a level of growth to be able to do that will THEN grow further to realize that “race” and all of the issues that come with it is worldly in nature and will never be solved by “man” and can/will only be dealt with righteously when the blood of Jesus Christ is applied to the construct so much to the point that we all open our eyes and the only color that we see of each other is red.

Then and only then will we see each other in the proper context that Christ died for and that is for us (the church) to stop allowing the world and its ways of handling race to influence us (His people) and keep us from handling it with His wisdom, compassion, mercy, forgiveness, and love.

Pray for one another, live for one another, do what is right, shin what is wrong, and in all things put the teachings of Jesus ahead of the leanings of this world that is ruled by satan.

As a black man who has in the past been fierce in the defense of everything “black” I still work hard to help my historical people to advance beyond the “sins of others” against us in the past.

However, as I gave my life to Christ and started practicing forgiveness and shunned the desires of retribution and “repayment” for the wrongs against my race much like the wisdom that i saw in what Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. did when faced with violence and evil I noticed that overtime I began to love (much like Christ did me when I was His “enemy) the “enemy” that I was taught to hate growing up and gained the “peace of Christ Jesus” which opened my eyes to who my TRUE ENEMY was…satan the devil.

So in this black history month I leave you with one important thing that was the catalyst for me to write this this morning as I studied His Word.

I urge you Black man/Black Woman and for that matter ANY “man”/“woman” to stop focusing on what the proverbial “they” have done to you and “your people” (if you are a Christian your “race” is no longer black, white, or “other”) but instead focus on what HE has done for you and focus on what HE did when encountering His enemies (us) and that is to forgive them, love them (even if you have to learn to), and be willing to open your eyes to the realization that the enemy has had you tricked all along into believing that another race was your enemy (this goes for ANY race or culture who has been wronged by another) when it is NOT the people of the offense that was the enemy but the spirit of the anti-Christ…satan that is the enemy.

We are one people under Christ Jesus and there can be no division of your heart is truly bent towards Jesus (paraphrase of Galatians 3:28).

As I lay on my bed one day in tears not long after giving my life to Jesus wondering if I could do this “Christian” thing God for the first time spoke to and challenged me “son, you need to give up your black pride because you cannot fully worship and serve me until you do” I realized that I had a choice to either follow Jesus or to continue following my black pride and I think by the tenant of this writing we know which I chose.

As I view my life through the prism of time and look back on those early days in Christ Jesus and have gained wisdom from my walk with God i can plainly see why God made me choose between my black pride and Him.

You see my black pride in essence was a “god” that I placed above almost all else and thus it was an idol that often ruled my thoughts about others and affected how I relate and react to the “world”.

Once I cast that “god” aside for the love of Jesus the hate, the bitterness, the accusatory tone, disappeared and that void was filled up with the love of Jesus and I haven’t nor will I ever turn back.

This does not mean that I cast my desire to continue working to allow God to use me to helps uplift the black community who has been done so wrong in this country but what it does is allow me to help/uplift them as I help/uplift ALL of God’s children without the “black first” mentality which God has clearly shown me is anti-Christ and if one reads his/her Bible there is no other conclusion that can be made on the issue as only “pride” can make one come to a different one.

Be blessed and have a awesome time of learning during this Black History month.

While watching the prison/jail documentary TV show “60 Days In” one of the participants remarked at how real it had become as they went in and one door locked behind him, then another, and then another.

At each stage the doors locked behind him further taking him deeper and deeper into the prison resulting into him developing a feeling of deepening hopelessness.

As I watched i felt that God was impressing upon my soul to write this to someone who I feel like is going through a prison of sorts right now and who feels that they have gone further behind so many locked doors and so deep into their personal prison that they no matter how hard they try will never come out.

To whomever this is I want you to know that though you feel “locked in” that God has impressed upon my heart today to let you know that all you have to do is turn to Him for though He is NOT the one who imprisoned you HE is the ONLY One that holds all of the keys to every locked door and that you can be free if you only call on His Name!

Loose the fear, the shame, the pride, and that “I’m such a sorry person” attitude and realize that you have a Heavenly Inheritance in Jesus and all that YOU have to do is claim it in His Name!

He loves you!!!

Through a TV show He stopped this brother and had me write this love note to you to ensure that you know that He indeed has heard your prayers, feels your pain, knows your need, and has dealt with it all through His Son Jesus.

Call on Him and walk out of that prison that YOU are keeping yourself in and He just wanted me to remind you that some of the doors that you came into your prison by will remain locked for good as you don’t need to revisit everything behind each door to enter into the freedom that He has planned for you…simply as the song says “Walk on by” (by Dionne Warwick).

Rest in and accept the peace that He is giving you as He has already paid a steep price for you in allowing His Perfect Son Jesus to pay the perfect penalty for an imperfect person that didn’t even deserve it…that is just how He rolls!!
