One of the few advantages of my growing up as a Jehovah’s Witness is that we didn’t celebrate holidays much so now as a Christian I really don’t get wrapped up much in the whole production of holidays like most people.

Don’t get me wrong I do celebrate Christmas and other holidays but I feel blessed that because of how I grew up I actually don’t view holidays as much more than commercialized endeavors quite often devoid of whatever true historical meaning it was originally founded upon.

I celebrate Christmas, I give gifts, etc, but the real meaning of Christmas to me is Jesus Himself as the gift to the world and that is what is more important to me more than all of the commercialism that we see today.

So I really don’t give a rip about what Starbucks (and those like them that hate everything “Christian”) does and I don’t boycott them for their stance on Christmas.

I don’t go consume their products much anymore because they not only seem to oppose Christ but they also discriminate against law enforcement and/or anyone else who walk in opposition to their company’s political/moral beliefs.

So I don’t get all worked up when they are anyone else who opposes Christmas does anything and I just walk my dollars to the ones who do want my business.

I wish that Christians would get as worked up about the child that is hungry next door, or the family who is losing their home, or the homeless person that they drive by daily, or for the Christians in other countries who are suffering true persecution by being killed daily, etc like they do when companies that they know whose leadership opposes anything “Christian” does something to oppose Christmas.

Apparently Christians must not truly care THAT  much because if they truly did it they wouldn’t have to say a word to Starbucks because as much as those folks would like to have us believe that they are true to their “cause” to eliminate Christ from everything…let their profits drop like a rock and I guarantee that they would have a “Cross” wearing Santa Claus in every store with your children sitting on his lap as you wait for your latte.

Bottom line…”talk” with your “walk” as I did…that’s the only thing that they understand.
