OBAMACARE! A Rant Of A Response To A Friend’s Post On Facebook

(This is a response that I posted on Facebook to a friend.  It is a rant so please ignore the misspellings, broken sentences, broken paragraphs, etc ., as when I wrote it I was a bit raw that so many people are so happy about their very own destruction that I had to rant to get a few things off of my chest. So now that you’ve been warned let’s peek in and see what I said.  The tenant of the conversation is that people on this post were touting Obamacare without realizing that they had in fact been lied to and I felt the need to set the record straight.)

You know me, you know where I come from, you know me better than a lot of people do so do you think that I would be a person that is trying to keep better healthcare from the poor? You know better than most I was one of the people that grew up without healthcare because of our financial situation and if I for one second thought that Obamacare or Romneycare for that matter was at all what the president or Gov Romney (who I have a lot of issues with) was the answer to solving the healthcare issue I’d be all for it but my research into the matter, sadly, tells me otherwise.

The problem is that so many people take the president at his word when he has broken promise after promise that he made on the campaign trail.  As I’ve said time and time again he has done the same as many other president’s and lied to the American people about what has been going on but if anyone challenges his lies they are called racist if they are other than black or called an uncle tom if they’re black.  Many people truly have no clue what this healthcare legislation is going to do to this country and even when people who do know how it will affect jobs, govt debt, etc., the people who worship the president (just like those who don’t listen who worship Romney) are blinded (especially black folk) by his slick words but his promises to streamline and make govt more efficient (he’s had three years but I guess its Bush’s fault) has been less than stellar and the govt now bleeds billions of more dollars than it did under previous presidents but no one will listen.

The president promised no new taxes for the middle class yet what he and other democrats promised was NOT A TAX to the American people has been proven a tax yet many people who think that they will get free health care don’t realize that they will have to pay for it and what’s worse is that now THEY ALL WILL have to deal with the IRS  (that’s the reason they hired almost 6000 new agents whose salary we now pay).  Did you know that the taxes will start coming out soon so you’ll be paying for the services before you can even get them and overtime (proven by the CBO) services will have to be cut (just like the British healthcare system) and some treatments rationed (if anyone took the time to read the bill like I have and stop taking the president at his word they would know this) and if the treatment is deemed too expensive then it will be just as it can be with the insurance companies denied yet no one realizes these things.

What’s worse is that this plan has already doubled in its cost estimates and continues to grow by billions each month yet the media who is so in love with the president refuses to report on it while if you peruse the government information that is readily available one can find the information that is the truth but no one listens.

To prove my point that Pres Obama is misleading about him being able to fix the problem just go and talk to veteran’s about the VA system that soldier’s use.  Now Pres Obama can blame a lot of things and he does on Pres Bush but he has had DIRECT control over the VA and as president he has had three years to make the VA better.  He claimed that he would fix the abuse, waste, and fraud if he became president yet those things have gotten much worse under his administration and the VA is the worst it has ever been and THE VA IS THE MODEL THAT THEY MODELED OBAMACARE AFTER!

The VA system is the worst that it’s ever been and we have more veterans dying from long waits, denial of treatment for even war wounds (PTSD), misdiagnosis of other medical issues, more instances of maltreatment because of scaled back care, and denial of health care for certain medical conditions because a medical board tells the govt that a certain procedure costs too much money (read the fine print in Obamacare and you’ll see that everything that I’m speaking of is in there).  So you see dear friend it is not because I hate the President it is because I’ve caught him in his lies just as I called out those that were behind Gov Romney about his flip-flopping and his horrible record as a faux conservative.

The president knows that this program will cost more than we can afford but he knows that he will be out of office before the crap hits the fan and the bills come due.  What are all of these people who are cheering for Obamacare going to do when the IRS comes a calling for the PENALTY?  If they cannot afford healthcare now can they all of a sudden afford a penalty?  What if the govt all of a sudden mandates that MRI’s cost too much and limit them to save money?

Are people willing to risk trusting some doctor that is on the govt dime and trying to save money more than he is worried about saving a life that he/she will provide them with a test that they need?  And lastly WE CANNOT AFFORD this monstrous program and its cost estimates are continuing to grow, not by my estimate but by the CBO who WORKS for the president that not many people pay attention to.  Sorry for the rant but not everyone that is speaking out against Obamacare is a racist, or an Uncle Tom, or crazy.  Some of us have done the math and know that the numbers don’t add up.

Some of us actually remembered what promises the president has made and broken and will hold him accountable to his word especially me for God hold’s me accountable for my words.  If I met the president today though I disagree with him on many points I would still be honored to have my picture taken with him and meet his beautiful wife and lovely young ladies but just because he looks like me does not mean that I can’t check him when he misleads me or this nation.

I did the same when Pres Bush 1, Pres Bush 2, Pres Clinton, Pres Regan, etc were in office yet now I guess that it has become a crime and I’m supposed to keep my mouth shut now just because it is the mighty Pres Obama.  Well until they take away my 1^st amendment rights I will continue to speak out when I catch him or any other politician in a lie AS I HAVE WITH ROMNEY, MCCAIN, AND THE OTHER REPUBLICANS IN 2008.

Sorry for the rant but all I want people to do is do their research and do what they would do if they took their car in for service and start asking questions.  We have become a nation (especially many black folk) who have become starstruck by our politicians as if they were movie stars or something when it is really our job to check them and hold them true to their word as much as possible whether we voted for them or not.  We ask the auto repairman more and scrutinize him more than we do the president yet we can buy another care but once freedom is lost it is hard if not impossible to gain it back. And remember this comes from someone who was a lifelong democrat and that believed in the democrat party and many of its ideals until I started understanding that many of the people who were ascending to leadership in the party were communists who said that they were going to “change the party and the people in it were not going to even know that it happened” yet I did and got out.  I don’t give repubs a pass either but Romney is not president Pres Obama is and I promise that I will hold Romney or the Pres accountable no matter which one wins the election.
